By the river of Mekong I sat down and thought

Have you ever been to Mekong river? This river is parting off several countries like Lao PDR, Thailand, Cambodia. Back then, during the elementary school time, I only read about Mekong river in my Geography book. I always wondered, how wide the river is.

Here I am now, sitting by the river of Mekong and thinking, "This river is not too wide." we can actually see Thailand across the river. It also has a bridge named "Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge". This bridge is connecting Lao PDR with Thailand. The length of this bridge is only 1.4 KM, and it has a very quiet traffic. I guess not many people are crossing the border between Lao and Thailand.
